Dr Daniel Ghaly, BDS
Daniel comes from a medical background after having graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine from Newcastle University in 2003. He worked for many years as a doctor in various fields and specialties before deciding to pursue an interest in dentistry, completing a Bachelor of Dentistry from the University of Sydney in 2011.
Daniel went on to work as both a medical and dental officer for the department of defence, and has more recently undertaken work within the department of surgery at John Hunter Hospital, within general, trauma and oral and maxillofacial specialities. He is currently formalising his completion of Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, and continues to work as a GP locally.
Daniel has a very professional and reassuring nature and communicates clearly and honestly to all his patients. He has a desire to continually develop his skills and knowledge and to provide the best possible treatment for each and every patient. This requires absolute attention to detail and an aim for perfection in all aspects of patient care.
His special interests are oral surgery, wisdom teeth, dental implants, and management of complex restorative cases including full arch treatments. With his medical training, Daniel also confidently manages patients with multiple or complex medical conditions, and has regular operating theatre lists for dental treatment under general anaesthetic.
